Custom Skeleton Rose Jacquard Cardigan
Vanitas baroque jacquard — skeletons, roses and scrollwork knitted in greyscale on black, an oversized button-front cardigan built for Halloween programmes and year-round gothic streetwear.
This cardigan is a statement of what jacquard can carry. The entire body is a high-density two-colour jacquard in greyscale on a black ground: dancing skeletons, baroque roses, acanthus scrollwork and small star motifs knitted row by row — not printed, not embroidered, but constructed in the knit itself, which is why the motifs have that slightly softened, woven depth on the face and a clean float-managed reverse. The layout is engineered, not tiled: motifs scale and rotate around the body so the pattern never repeats mechanically across the front panels, sleeves and back — the detail that separates a designed garment from an allover repeat.
Construction matches the graphics. The V-neck and button placket are knitted in reinforced rib with a stable pick-up along the opening, so a five-button front stays flat and the neckline keeps its shape through wear and washing. Cuffs and hem are anti-deformation rib with recovered stretch, holding the oversized drop-shoulder silhouette instead of bagging at the first elbow. The greyscale-on-black palette shown here is the reference colourway; the jacquard is fully re-colourable — bone-on-oxblood, ivory-on-forest, or any two-tone pair matched to Pantone — and the motif artwork itself can be replaced with yours at the programming stage, because every motif here started life as client artwork converted to a stitch file by our in-house team.
Weight sits around 650-800 g/pc at 5GG-7GG in an acrylic-wool blend for the reference sample; wool-nylon for premium tiers, cotton-acrylic for trans-seasonal drops and recycled polyester for sustainability-led ranges are all settable on the same block. The trim programme runs as deep as the garment: woven main label, satin care and content label, size tabs, hang tags printed or foil-blocked to your artwork, plus polybag, kraft or recycled carton packing to your spec. Typical buyers are Halloween and seasonal retail programmes — where the calendar matters, so artwork should be confirmed by late spring for an August-September delivery window — and year-round gothic, alt and streetwear labels, as well as band-merch and capsule programmes that want knitwear with graphic weight. MOQ 100 pieces per design, sampling 72 hours from yarn stock confirmation, bulk production 2-3 weeks after PPS approval, DDP door-to-door shipping to US, EU, UK, AU and JP.
