Custom Knitted Wine Bottle Hat & Scarf Set
A tiny beanie on the neck and a fringed scarf down the shoulder — the only bottle dressing in our range that leaves the label completely uncovered.
Every other bottle dressing in this range is a cover. This one covers nothing. The bottle body stays fully exposed from the shoulder down, and that is not a limitation but the entire reason the item exists: for a winery, distillery or hospitality brand, the label is the product, and a sleeve that hides it is working against the customer. So the brief changes completely. Instead of wrapping the bottle, this set perches on the neck — a beanie sitting on the neck like a cap, a scarf hanging from the shoulder — and the sizing conversation is about the neck and the shoulder line rather than the barrel. Measure from the shoulder up, and check the drop against where your label starts. The scarf should end above the label's top edge, not across it, or the piece has defeated its own purpose. What holds the set on is a single elastic cord closed by a plastic cord-lock, cinched underneath the beanie's folded cuff. That cord is the only structural element in the product, and it carries the full weight of both pieces, so almost every field failure traces back to it. Cord length has to be matched to the neck diameter: too long and the whole set slides down over the shoulder within a day, too short and the toggle will not close on the sample without stretching the elastic to its limit. The cord-lock has to grip without cutting. A cheap spring toggle bites into the elastic every time it is opened, and the cord fails at exactly the point a retail buyer will handle it. Ask for a toggle rated for the cord diameter rather than whatever is in the accessory bin. Load balance is the third consequence: the beanie with its two pom-poms sits above the anchor, so pom-pom weight decides whether it sits level or tips to one side. Pom-poms are not a decoration detail on this item, they are a weight spec. The beanie itself is built like a real one, and the folded 2x2 rib cuff is doing the work — a turned-up double layer of rib is what actually grips the neck, and a single-layer hem will slide off the shoulder cone. The body is striped, the crown is closed, and the two pom-poms sit on top. The scarf is a flat strip with cut fringe at both ends, which introduces a problem cheap versions ignore: cut yarn ends shed. On an item that hangs against a dark glass bottle and a printed label, shed fibres are immediately visible, so the yarn has to be a stable acrylic and each fringe group should be grouped and secured rather than left as loose cut strands. The single biggest quality risk on a two-piece set is colour matching. The beanie and the scarf are knitted as separate pieces, and if they come from different yarn lots the white and the navy shift against each other — a half-shade difference that no one notices on a single piece becomes obvious the moment the two sit in the same box. We knit both from one lot and pack them together; specify that on the purchase order and it stops being a complaint. Stripes are the cheapest decoration available and also the sharpest branding. Wide bands need very few colour changes, so a two-colour programme prices far better than a jacquard, and two colours are enough to read a team, a club, a school or a corporate palette instantly — which is why this format sells to sports clubs, alumni programmes, corporate gifting and licensed colour schemes rather than only to drinks brands. The one constraint is that band widths have to be a whole number of courses; you cannot knit a three-and-a-half-course stripe, and forcing an odd width is what makes cheap versions look ragged at the edge. Note on the photographs: the winery label on the bottle belongs to its owner and is shown only to demonstrate fit and placement. We do not sell or license it, and your own label and colourway replace all of it. MOQ 300 sets per design, sampling 72 hours from yarn stock confirmation, bulk production 2–3 weeks after PPS approval, DDP door-to-door to US, EU, UK, AU and JP.

- One elastic cord and cord-lock carry the whole set — matched to the neck diameter, not chosen from a bin
- Beanie and scarf knitted from one yarn lot and packed together, so the two pieces match in the box
- Wide stripe bands need few colour changes, so a two-colour club or corporate palette prices well
- Cut fringe grouped and secured, so fibres do not shed onto the bottle or the label
